In the framework of "Strengthening local capacities for local democracy in Armenia through institutionalizing effective and equal public participation in local decision making" project ICHD organized a series of one and three day trainings in Hrazdan city, Kotayk region. The trainings took place on 9-12 of April. More than 20 representatives of local authorities, local governance bodies, universities and regional administrations participated in participatory, inclusive, responsive and gender-sensitive governance, effective communication, negotiation and leadership skills trainings.
The project is a part of "Promoting Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities in Armenia: Women in Local Democracy" three year project funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP Armenia in partnership with Association of Women with University Education, International Center for Human Development and Armenian Public Relations Association.
On January 30, 2024 ICHD organized the first Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk consolidated community, comprising 17 rural and urban settlements, in close collaboration with the local government, "Solution Hub" NGO and their beneficiaries, active young people from the community. The results are summarized in the THM report available in Armenian only.
