The Center for Global Peace provides a framework for programs and initiatives that advance the study and understanding of world peace grounded in a search for a just and sustainable world order. The Center works to embody the invitation in the American University’s Statement of Common Purpose, "turning ideas into action...and actions into service."

The “AREAT” Center was established by political scientists, sociologists, economists and conflictologists in 1998. “AREAT” is an independent non-governmental organization. The main goal of the Center is the promotion of civil society and support of democratic reforms in Azerbaijan. The Center carries out projects in different areas of public policy. AREAT has initiated of a number of conferences on problems of the transitional period and has published analytical and methodical literature. Actively participating at the partner’s program, the Center promotes the development of integration processes in the South Caucasus and the formation of peace culture and tolerance.

Armenia 2020 is a scenario-building initiative that focuses on the identification of alternative development models for the Republic of Armenia until the year 2020 and the elaboration of development scenarios for the country. The strength of the project is the mix of participants with diverse viewpoints; it aims to bring together committed and accomplished Armenians from Armenia and all over the world.

The Armenian Atlantic Association is a non-governmental organization that aims to foster Armenia’s links with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and promote a better understanding of the Alliance’s mission and activities in the rapidly changing world for the domestic public.

Arthur G. Martirosyan is a Senior Consultant with CMPartners. A student and colleague of Professor Roger Fisher, author of Getting to Yes, in his sixteen year career as a conflict management specialist, Mr. Martirosyan has been involved in the design and implementation of a series of successful strategic assistance projects in the complex ethno-political conflicts of Chechnya (Russian Federation), South Ossetia and Abkhazia (Georgia), Israel-Palestine, Iraq, Kosovo and others.

Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk

On January 30, 2024 ICHD organized the first Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk consolidated community, comprising 17 rural and urban settlements, in close collaboration with the local government, "Solution Hub" NGO and their beneficiaries, active young people from the community. The results are summarized in the THM report available in Armenian only.

RESULTS OF THE TOWN HALL MEETING ON DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IN GAVAR CONSOLIDATED COMMUNITY

This report presents the process and the key results of the August 13, 2024 youth-oriented Town Hall Meeting (THM) organized within the “Armenia Civics for Engagement” (ACE) Program.

The goal of the “Armenia Civics for Engagement” Program is to improve the quality of Armenia’s formal and non-formal civic education to foster youth public participation and advancement of democratic processes in Armenia. The Program is implemented by Project Harmony International and its sub-awardees International Center for Human Development, Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS and National Center of Educational Technologies.
