ICHD and the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) have completed a series of training workshops aimed at enhancing the capacity of evidence-based policy analysis in Armenia and Turkey. The first two training workshops were held in Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey from January 23-28. Ashot Khurshudyan, Head of Education and Training Unit at ICHD and Eoin Young, Director and Senior Trainer at the International Center for Policy Advocacy (ICPA) conducted the three-day certificate courses, which focused on producing policy-relevant analysis and writing to influence decision-making. The training series will continue in February in Yerevan.
The training series are part of the project "Support to Armenia-Turkey Rapprochement (SATR)", supported by USAID and implemented through a common effort of Project Consortium members: ICHD, Eurasia Partnership Foundation, Yerevan Press Club and UMB(E)A.
On January 30, 2024 ICHD organized the first Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk consolidated community, comprising 17 rural and urban settlements, in close collaboration with the local government, "Solution Hub" NGO and their beneficiaries, active young people from the community. The results are summarized in the THM report available in Armenian only.
