A wrap-up joint networking meeting with participation of  three working groups  from Turkey and Armenia took place  on April 18 in Best Western Congress Hotel. The participants discussed the ways of future cooperation between the two countries with the involvement of women, political, business  and civil society young leaders from Turkey and Armenia. 

On April 16 Arthur Martirosyan represented ICHD at the “Migration and Sustainable Development” seminar held in the UN Headquarter, New York. The seminar aimed to explore the role of migration in the context of the UNCSD-Rio+20 and the provisions of the "zero draft" of the outcome document of the conference.

A three-day joint networking meeting of political, business and civil society leaders from Turkey and Armenia launched today in "Ani Plaza" Hotel in Yerevan. Eighteen participants from Armenia and Turkey discussed issues related to cross-border cooperation and possibilities of joint  initiatives. 

A three-day workshop with women from Armenia and Turkey started today in Yerevan, Armenia. 16 women from Armenia and Turkey discussed possible areas of cooperation  and cross-border initiatives, which ranged from cultural issues to common practices in empowering women in business though joint efforts. 

ICHD representative Astghik Injeyan participated in GTG 7th meeting on 13th April at the UN House. Issues such as possible cooperation with the secretariat of the Women’s Council under  the Prime Minister, and updates on the development of two bills - “Equal rights and equal opportunities” and “Domestic violence” - were on the agenda of the meeting. 

On March 29 ICHD started the implementation of the project "Facilitating the Participation of Youth Groups in Monitoring Parliamentary Elections" , which is supported by the OSCE  office in Yerevan. The goal of the project is to increase  the level of youth participation in the election processes and allow the participants  to act as independent observers during the elections. 

On April 6 ICHD organized another seminar in Hrazdan for the staff responsible for providing social and employment services at regional centers, local government officials,  and representatives of private employment agencies and non-governmental organizations dealing with migration issues. 

On April 6 ICHD representative Astghik Injeyan participated in a public discussion on Rio+20 National draft report, organized by the Ministry of  Nature Protection of the RA. The presentation of the draft report was followed by an open discussion. 

On March 28 ICHD organized a seminar for the staff responsible for providing social and employment services at regional centers, local government officials,  and representatives of private employment agencies and non-governmental organizations dealing with migration issues. 

Arthur Martirosyan represented ICHD at the workshop "Improving the institutional framework for sustainable development: A deep dive into governance issues and the Rio +20 zero draft” , which convened government delegates, international organizations, major groups and stakeholders.
