2012

The project implemented in 2012 with the support of Counterpart International strived to support local self-government bodies (LSG) in the elaboration of draft models for the important legal acts that are subject to the community councils’ approval and adoption, by including field experts, community council members, community lawyers, and specialists in elaboration of legal acts in this process. The project strived as well to promote the development of the community councils’ power in effective law making.

2013

The overall objective of conducting country consultations was to stimulate discussions amongst national stakeholders involved in addressing MDGs, and voice out the perspectives, challenges and concerns of various groups of common citizens who were directly influenced by policies that contribute to the achievement of MDGs.

2012

In 2012 with the support of Judicial PIU the ICHD team completed an assignment the objective of which was to propose a program passport for judicial budgeting and building relevant capacity at the Judicial Department, Ministry of Justice. The capacity building component specifically targeted skills for relevant data collection and application for transition to a program-based budgeting system. In the process consultations were held with counterparts and stakeholders. An extensive desk review and a comparative analysis of similar approaches in Eastern and Western jurisdictions were conducted. Based on the findings a comprehensive package of recommendations, which was introduced to relevant stakeholders at a workshop on “Managing the Reforms on Program Budgeting in Courts”, organized by the ICHD team.

Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk

On January 30, 2024 ICHD organized the first Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk consolidated community, comprising 17 rural and urban settlements, in close collaboration with the local government, "Solution Hub" NGO and their beneficiaries, active young people from the community. The results are summarized in the THM report available in Armenian only.

RESULTS OF THE TOWN HALL MEETING ON DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IN GAVAR CONSOLIDATED COMMUNITY

This report presents the process and the key results of the August 13, 2024 youth-oriented Town Hall Meeting (THM) organized within the “Armenia Civics for Engagement” (ACE) Program.

The goal of the “Armenia Civics for Engagement” Program is to improve the quality of Armenia’s formal and non-formal civic education to foster youth public participation and advancement of democratic processes in Armenia. The Program is implemented by Project Harmony International and its sub-awardees International Center for Human Development, Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS and National Center of Educational Technologies.
