On March 23, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, with the support from the Embassy of the United States in Armenia, hosted a conference to clarify the responsibilities of law enforcement agencies in ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections.  The conference was organized by the International Center for Human Development.

The Executive Director of the International Center for Human Development Mr. Tevan Poghosyan has been included in the proportional electoral list of the Heritage party and will participate in the parliamentary elections to be held on May 6, 2012.  

The second training workshop for women on enhancing leadership, communication and problem-solving skills  started today in Yerevan and will continue until March 23. 

On March 13rd the representatives of four organizations, namely ICHD, Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia (UMB(E)A), Yerevan Press Club (YPC), and Eurasia Partnership Foundation , which signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Regulation of Armenian-Turkish relations, held a meeting at ICHD to discuss the practical issues of cooperation.

A training workshop for women on enhancing leadership, communication and problem-solving skills started today in Yerevan and will continue until March 16. The training series are conducted by ICHD and the Turkish NGO GAYA with the purpose of enhancing the leadership and communication capacity of Armenian and Turkish women entrepreneurs in order to promote development and implementation of cross-country and cross-regional cooperative gain initiatives.

Twenty representatives of the government, civil society institutions, private businesses and development partners participated in the off-the-record discussion on "Support to community councils", organized at ICHD on March 7. 

From February 28 to March 3 six Armenian public servants from different governmental institutions visited Poland to learn of Polish experience on regulation of migration flows. The study tour was organized by ICHD within the framework of the project “Strengthening Evidence-Based Management of Labor Migration in Armenia”.

On February 24 ICHD organized a seminar for the staff responsible for providing social and employment services at regional centers, local government officials,  and representatives of private employment agencies and non-governmental organizations dealing with migration issues.

The training series are conducted by ICHD and the Turkish NGO GAYA with the purpose of enhancing the leadership and communication capacity of Armenian and Turkish young leaders in business, politics and civil society, in order to promote development and implementation of cross-country and cross-regional cooperative gain initiatives.
