ICHD is currently implementing a three year project "Strengthening local capacities for local democracy in Armenia through institutionalizing effective and equal public participation in local decision making", which is part of a larger project "Promoting Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities in Armenia: Women in Local Democracy". The whole project is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP Armenia in partnership with Association of Women with University Education, International Center for Human Development and Armenian Public Relations Association. In the framework of the above-mentioned project ICHD organized a THM in Shahumyan on May 6, where the development priorities of the community were identified through the direct participation of the community members. Over 100 experts and local residents took part in the discussion.
