This Guide has been developed to support newly elected deputy, representative of the legislative body of the Republic of Armenia and assist in getting to know the constitutional and legal status in the National Assembly, along with the key elements of the National Assembly’s work organization and activities.
This Guidebook has been developed within the framework of “Support to the RA National Assembly to Improve the Parliamentary Oversight and Communication with the Voters” project. The project is implemented by the International Center for Human Development non-governmenal organization, with funding of the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with support of the British people. The opinions expressed in this Guidebook are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official position of the UK Government.
The translation of the Guidebook into English has been made within the UNDP “Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia” project, co-implemented with the OxYGen Foundation, the International Center for Human Development, and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, in cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. The project is funded by the United Kingdom's Good Governance Fund and the Government of Sweden.
On January 30, 2024 ICHD organized the first Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk consolidated community, comprising 17 rural and urban settlements, in close collaboration with the local government, "Solution Hub" NGO and their beneficiaries, active young people from the community. The results are summarized in the THM report available in Armenian only.
