Օff-the-record discussion on "Multi-lingual secondary education: opportunity or challenge?" will take place in ICHD at 8:00p.m. on 11 May 2010.
The speakers - Mr. Armen Ashotyan, Minister of Education and Science of Armenia and ICHD's Ashot Khurshudyan, will present entry points to the discussion. ICHD Executive Director Tevan Poghosyan will chair the discussion.
The initiative of the Government to amend the laws "On the Language'' and "On the Secondary Education" is extensively discussed by civil society and became a hot issue on public agenda. Various opinions and arguments have been voiced on this initiative. ICHD invited the Off-the-Record discussion trying to consolidate the policy alternatives on this matter
Participation to the discussion is exceptionally with ICHD invitation.
On January 30, 2024 ICHD organized the first Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk consolidated community, comprising 17 rural and urban settlements, in close collaboration with the local government, "Solution Hub" NGO and their beneficiaries, active young people from the community. The results are summarized in the THM report available in Armenian only.
