In the framework of the project "Supporting the Consolidation of Comprehensive policies on decentralization and Local Self-Government System in Armenia", ICHD supported by Counterpart International promotes effective participatory process and consolidation of technical drafting of the comprehensive national decentralization strategy document through providing technical inputs on common and shared sections of the draft document; facilitating discussions with the key stakeholders related to the critical aspects of the strategy developed by partners and consolidating joint draft document through final editing of various sections.

On June 7, ICHD team contributed in the workshop organized by Counterpart International on elaboration of the methodology of the draft strategy. Participants discussed the methodology of drafting the strategy document and mechanisms of streamlining the work of partners and coordinating with stakeholders in government, local communities and civil society. During the meeting the partners agreed to establish an Expert Group for drafting the document, as well as agreed to meet on weekly basis.
