Two training workshops on enhancing the capacity of evidence-based policy analysis in Armenia and Turkey were completed in Yerevan, Armenia from February 1-6. The training series are the effort of ICHD and the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) to enhance the capacity of Armenian and Turkish think tanks for policy analysis. The first training series were held in Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey from January 23-28.
Ashot Khurshudyan, Head of Education and Training Unit at ICHD and Eoin Young, Director and Senior Trainer at the International Center for Policy Advocacy (ICPA) conducted the three-day certificate courses, which focused on producing policy-relevant analysis and writing to influence decision-making. The team of the Caucasus Research Resource Center and Gevorg Ter-Gabrielyan from the Eurasia Partnership Foundation made short presentations during the training to present the existing research opportunities and challenges in writing quality policy papers.
The training series are part of the project "Support to Armenia-Turkey Rapprochement (SATR) ", supported by USAID and implemented through a common effort of Project Consortium members: ICHD, Eurasia Partnership Foundation, Yerevan Press Club and UMB(E)A.

On March 3, 2021, the first meeting of the GreenDeal Task Force created under the Initiative Lisbon-Vladivostok was held. In the videoconference format, more than twenty authoritative experts in the field of ecology and business from Austria, Armenia, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, France, as well as the representatives of the largest business industry associations supporting the Initiative Lisbon-Vladivostok, discussed common approaches to harmonizing the activities implemented by the EU and the EAEU on the path to sustainable development, including a radical reduction in greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere by 2050.
