A training workshop on enhancing leadership, communication and problem-solving skills started today early morning in Yerevan, Armenia and will continue until February 17. The training series are conducted by ICHD and the Turkish NGO GAYA with the purpose of enhancing the leadership and communication capacity of Armenian and Turkish young leaders in business, politics and civil society, in order to promote development and implementation of cross-country and cross-regional cooperative gain initiatives.
Ashot Khurshudyan, Head of Education and Training Unit at ICHD conducts this five-day certificate course for young business leaders. Tevan Poghosyan, the Executive Director of ICHD, and Arthur Ghazaryan, The Project Director from UMBA, also made short presentations during the first session of the training. The second training course will take place from February 20 to 24 and will target political and civil society leaders.
The training series are part of the project "Support to Armenia-Turkey Rapprochement (SATR) ", supported by USAID and implemented through a common effort of Project Consortium members: ICHD, Eurasia Partnership Foundation, Yerevan Press Club and UMB(E)A.
On January 30, 2024 ICHD organized the first Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk consolidated community, comprising 17 rural and urban settlements, in close collaboration with the local government, "Solution Hub" NGO and their beneficiaries, active young people from the community.
