Case Studies for Police on GBV

17.10.2010

In the framework of the UNFPA/Armenia funded project implemented by the ICHD led Consortium Against Gender-based Violence in Armenia, ICHD will conduct training for police officers on how to better identify and respond to gender based violence  in the coming weeks. The program aims at training of at least 100 police officers from Yerevan and the regions of Armenia.  This year's program will include domestic violence case studies from the United States. Trainees will be asked to compare police responses in these case studies with that of their own. The goal of the exercise is to expose police officers to international policies and procedures towards domestic violence.
