Social Cohesion in Armenia: Where Are We Heading?

05.11.2011

Social cohesion is becoming a globally acknowledged prerequisite for a just and peaceful society. Recently research in social cohesion has become a priority theme in Armenia as well. To present the findings of a recent survey on the level of social cohesion in the Armenian society and to initiate public discussions about the issue, on November 5 ICHD, with the support of UNDP, organized a Town Hall Meeting in Goris. The public discussion focused on probable and preferable models of social cohesion in Armenia. More than 100 citizens from the town and nearby villages attended the THM. The results of the public discussion will be analyzed and presented to all the interested stakeholders.
