The Role of Civil Society Institutions in Promoting Gender Equality and Combating Gender-based Violence in Armenia and Turkey

ICHD, supported by USAID, organized a round-table discussion on the role of civil society institutions in promoting gender equality and combating gender-based violence in Armenia and Turkey with experts and civil society representatives from Armenia and Turkey. Anahit Tevosyan (psychological support and counselling center Tatev-95) presented the practices of psychological rehabilitation assistance to survivors of GBV in Armenia. Yurdum Hasgul Cagatay (Association of South-Eastern Business Women of Turkey) talked about the equal economic rights of women and gender-based challenges of women entrepreneurs in Turkey. Participants compared practices and experiences and brainstormed on prospects of cooperation.

Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk

On January 30, 2024 ICHD organized the first Town Hall Meeting within ACE in Vayk consolidated community, comprising 17 rural and urban settlements, in close collaboration with the local government, "Solution Hub" NGO and their beneficiaries, active young people from the community.
