ICHD is currently implementing a project  "Strengthening local capacities for local democracy in Armenia through institutionalizing effective and equal public participation in local decision making", which is part of a larger project "Promoting Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities in Armenia: Women in Local Democracy". The whole project is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP Armenia in partnership with Ministry of Territorial Administration and ICHD. In the framework of this project joint a workshop was organized in the Town Hall  of CHarencavan on June 12, aimed at discussing alternative development projects of Charentsavan community that could be implemented with community budget for 2014.  Members of the Kotayk Cluster of  the Community of Practice in facilitated participatory discussions, as well as, Mr. Ashot Tserunyuan, head of the division of community programs and planning,  Mr. Armen Galstyan, Executive Director of ICHD and Mr. Vahan Asatryan participated in the workshop.
